Welcome to those of you who are visiting this blog for the first time. I’ve put the word out on this site to many who know me, via my holiday card this year. For the past eleven years I’ve put out an annual recommended reading list, highlighting my favorite books read during that year. A few years ago I began including my favorite movies of the year in the list as well, and this year I transferred all of my favorites to this site.
I hope you enjoy poking around the site half as much as I have enjoyed creating it. Most of all, I hope that it gives you some good ideas of what to read, see or do, and I look forward to the same from others who contribute their thoughts and opinions here. As much as I love the fact that this site gives me an opportunity to extend myself by writing (and diligently keeping up at something “productive”), and sharing my photographs beyond the pages of my own scrapbooks, I love that it’s an interactive medium. I really enjoy reading the comments that others contribute to this site.
One word about the comment feature: When you add a comment of your own, you don’t have to leave your email address. Though there’s a field for it in the comment section, it’s not necessary. If you’re like me, that’s not something you want displayed in a public forum. Do leave your name though, or a creative alias so I/we know who you are.
Finally, congrats (and thanks) Spro on being the first newbie to contribute to the site!
