In honor of Memorial Day…
Directed by Raoul Walsh
Starring Errol Flynn
Great WWII actioner with Errol Flynn as the commander of a parachuting squadron with a mission to get in, destroy a radar station, and get out. They get in okay and achieve their objective, but when it comes time to getting out, the Japanese show up and the airlift out of the jungle is abandoned.
With no hope of rescue, it’s up to the soldiers to save themselves by trekking long and hard through the hot, swampy jungle of enemy territory. If your only knowledge of Flynn is sporting a pair of Robin Hood tights or swinging from the yard-arm of a pirate ship, you should see this war film to experience a more “contemporary” performance from this heroic actor.
