As I did for my movie reviews, I have done for books, and gathered all of my book reviews in one alphabetical index. The link to my book reviews (over 200 of them!) lives over in the left-hand column and the list will be continually updated with new reviews.
In putting together this list I revisited books and authors I hadn’t recalled in a while, which was a little like a trip down memory lane. The list represents over ten years worth of reading; my comments range from one sentence reactions to full-blown reviews.
I don’t have any reviews listed under Q, V and X, so just for fun, I’m assigning myself the challenge of reading and reviewing books that begin with each of these three letters. If you can suggest any, I’d love to hear them.

‘V’ books:
***Vurt by Jeff Noon. A mad, mad book book where you enter the net by sticking a feather down your throat. Wildly imaginative. The Wicker Man meets the Primal Scream (the band.)
***Veronica by Nicholas Christopher. The predecessor to one of my favorite books, A Trip to the Stars. Magic realism with actual magicians.
***V For Vendetta by Alan Moore and David Lloyd. Intense and so, so right for our times. Really about Thatcher’s England, but the riff on terrorism applies today.
