Sadie’s Diner
We found this place while wandering the neighborhood the day before and decided it would make a great last stop before heading out of town. Didn’t even look at the menu. Just went off the vibe. I liked that the cook was sitting out front on his break and the place was busy with a steady stream of locals going in and out. Plus the sign in the window indicated organic food and free-trade coffee. Done.
Unfortunately, it didn’t indicate vegetarian (or if it did, we missed it) so it took a bit of adjusting for the meat eaters in the group who’d had their stomach’s set on a big breakfast of bacon and eggs. Sadie’s didn’t disappoint though. Everything was delicious. I had a Mexican style egg dish, with over-easy eggs on crisp corn tortillas, beans and fresh salsa. It was excellent. So was the coffee which fueled me for the next leg of our drive, to Niagara Falls.

Awesome photos
Sadie’s Diner sounds familiar. It’s the little ones like that in T.O. which are often gems.
Glad you’re having fun
This place looks like it would be comfy in Madison WI. Don’t you love how in Canada, there are buildings that have been there for more than 30 years? Hot dog looks awesome. Did you drive down Blount Streed?
