Taken near the Weisenberger Mill on the South Elkhorn Creek.
Two weeks ago (was it really just two weeks?) I spent a long weekend in Kentucky, popping up to Cincinnati twice for ballgames. Friends and I stayed with Jan in Georgetown, getting our dose of local color and catching up. We threw the local diner a curve by ordering frickles (fried dill pickles–my favorite local delicacy) with our breakfast.
Jan’s a fantastic photographer, specializing in the dying art of infrared film photography. A collection of her photographs, taken in and around downtown Georgetown, grace the walls of a main street restaurant and they look fantastic. One photo is of Weisenberger Mill, which we drove out to see the next day before heading out to Cincinnati to see the second of two Cubs games.

You should have stopped by and had a drink with us.
I’m obviously slightly out of the loop. But yeah, you should have come over for a drink!
