Review: Nickel and Dimed (On Not Getting By in America)

Barbara Ehrenreich (2001)

Follows the author as she tries (and fails) to survive on the salary of an unskilled laborer, working for minimum wage in four different jobs: diner waitress, cleaning lady for Merry Maids, nursing home aide and Wal-Mart clerk. Very insightful.
