It’s snowed quite a bit in the last five hours, maybe four inches. I shoveled the entire walk after a few inches had fallen. I went down one way and then the other, turned around to head back in, and it looked like I’d never been there…so I did it all over again. Thirty minutes after I’d been inside, you could barely tell where I’d shoveled.
The back yard has a nice carpet of snow. The purple coneflowers are still standing like a dried flower arrangement. I like the way they’re wearing little individual snow hats.

Winter gardens are nice, aren’t they? Grasses and astilbe also look great in the snow. Pumpkins left out since Halloween…..eh, not so much.
