The Worst Movies of 2003

Unlike most worst lists, these movies weren’t necessarily released last year, I just saw them then…

The House of the Spirits (1994)
Because, well, yes, it really is that bad.
Solaris (1972)
Because, while I might appreciate it, it bored me to tears. Come to think of it, I don’t really appreciate it.
The Legend of 1900 (1998)
Because I really wanted to like this film, and I just couldn’t.
Invincible (2000)
Because I really couldn’t wait for this movie to end. Watch Tim Roth over act … (My review)
All the Pretty Horses (2000)
Because, wow, was this a clunker. (My review)
Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood (2002)
Because I wanted to see if I’d dislike it as much as I did the movie…I did. (My review)
Autumn in New York (2000)
Because I thought it might be so bad it’d be good, but it was just so very bad!
The Phone Booth (2003)
Because it’s such a lame thriller. (My review)
Sweet Home Alabama (2002)
Because I lost twenty IQ points watching this film.
Gothika (2003)
Because I lost two hours of my life watching this film. (my review)
Valerie and Her Week of Wonders (1970)
Because no matter how much you tell me Czech horror films rule, this one convinced me to stay very far away.
Cluny Brown (1946)
Because Jennifer Jones makes my skin crawl.
