Review: Front Page Woman (1935)

Bette Davis does her best impression of a spunky girl reporter, a la His Girl Friday. Close, but no cigar sister. It’s still fun to see early Bette in a Michael Curtiz picture. Two years later they teamed together on the excellent Marked Woman (1937) and then again on The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex (1939) with Errol Flynn. [**]
