Delicious Day Off

I started my day off with brunch at M Henry, probably my favorite breakfast spot in the city. Like an upscale diner, but with an emphasis on fresh ingredients, regional flavors, and a plenty of vegetarian options. Prices are very reasonable. Every meal I’ve had there has been fantastic.

I had one of the specials, peach and blueberry french toast made thick cut brioche, a cinnamon maple glaze, and crunchy granola sprinkled over it, a nice touch. It was amazing!

I spent the remainder of the day at Karen’s, sitting out on the back deck reading and watching the rehearsal for this weekend’s Air and Water Show. The weather was very pleasant and it was really nice to just sit outside for hours reading a good book.

  1. It sounds yummy. Of course, as a Kentuckian, I prefer my french toast with two fried eggs (sunny-side up), country ham, and a bowl of grits on the side. 🙂

  2. I had french toast too–as another Kentuckian–I ain’t seen anything that looked like that at Fava’s…
