I purchased the book I’m reading now (Living on the Wind: Across the Hemisphere With Migratory Birds) during a vacation I took to San Francisco a few years ago. During the drive between Point Reyes National Seashore and Muir Woods, we stopped in Stinson Beach for lunch and next door was this cool little bookstore called Stinson Beach Books.
I found the store bookmark when I (finally) started to read Living on the Wind last week, and chuckled when I read: “Only bookstore located directly on the San Andreas Fault halfway between Dog Town and Jimmy’s Gulch.” It reminded me of the spirit that pervades California Fault, which I read earlier this year.
