You could probably read this minute-by-minute account of the Titanic’s sinking in about the same amount of time it would take you to watch Kate and Leo go down with the ship. Still considered by many to be the definitive non-fiction account of the Titanic’s final hours, A Night to Remember is crisply written (and thoroughly researched) but it won’t add anything to your knowledge of the disaster if you’re even a semi-Titanic junkie. I would however recommend the outstanding film Titanic – The Complete Story, the best (and most haunting) documentary I’ve ever seen on the disaster.
