Urbs in Horto

Lurie_sage

A couple of weekends ago I took a stroll through Millennium Park’s Lurie Garden to see what was in bloom and (as always) to get ideas for my own gardening. The garden is well established now and looks terrific. Most of what was in bloom was purple, making for a stunning carpet of purple and green spread out beneath the city skyline.

My only complaint (more like an amateur gardener’s frustration) was the lack of identifiers to tell which plant was what. Turns out they’ve got it all on line, which serves as a helpful resource.
