At the REI sale this weekend I bought these for gardening…
…and I pretty much didn’t take them off all weekend!
Who knew plastic shoes could be so comfortable? Now I can tramp around in the garden and not worry about my shoes getting all wet and muddy.
I’ve become the resident landscape gardener for my townhome, which is about half block of shrub beds, a couple of shade beds and a sunny corner plot. Oh, and all the damn grass, which I’m slowly encroaching on with perennials and ground cover more tolerant of drought and shade.
I love doing it. It’s relaxing, enjoyable, gets me outside, is a great way to interact with the neighborhood, and provides me with a great sense of accomplishment.
