Review: Hotel Rwanda (2004)

Don Cheadle gives an amazing performance in this disturbing true story.

Cheadle portrays Paul Rusesabagina, the hotel manager who risked everything to provide safe haven to hundreds of Tutsi refugees during the genocide by the Hutus. A thoroughly compelling look at an ordinary man faced with one extraordinary crisis after another in a story that would seem unbelievable if it weren’t true. Cheadle’s role requires him to carry the film, which he does most admirably. [**** out of 5]
