Nuclear Energy by Henry Moore

As many times as I have walked around the U of C campus, I’d never seen the statue marking the spot of the birth of nuclear energy (aka, the bomb) until a few weeks ago.

  1. That statue is on the site of the west stands of Stagg Field, where they actually played football and had a great team, long before I ever went there. I had a science class in the stands and we used to tease each other about radiation. I guess, since I’ve made it to almost 74, no harm was done.
