If I’m ever within a half-mile radius of Gethsemane Garden Center, like a magnet, the place draws me in. Even if I’m not spending money (which rarely happens), it’s a wonderful place to just wander around.
Last Saturday I met a friend for coffee at The Coffee Studio, a terrific newish coffee shop in Andersonville. Afterward, I just had to stop at Gethsemane. I walked over, thereby limiting myself to only what I could carry out–enough to plant in the one flower box I have out front. A good plan in more ways than one. Should we get another freeze–not unlikely in Chicago in April–I’ll be able to bring the box inside overnight.
