The wave is about to hit.
Let’s see, how many different types of precipitation are there? Snow, ice, rain, sleet, freezing rain, freezing drizzle. Check on all counts. There’s even a possibility of thunderstorms. (My favorite is thundersnow.) I haven’t heard any call for hail. Small favor, Mother Nature.
For two days now, the warnings have been called and everyone is hunkering down tonight, expecting the worst. I know a lot of folks who aren’t planning to leave home until Saturday. We could end up with a foot of snow but the part of the forecast most here are dreading is the ice. I love the snow but inches of snow with a thin layer of ice is nobody’s idea of a winter wonderland.
