Our afternoon sail on Lake Michigan has been scrubbed (gusty winds and a small craft advisory) but we’re still gathering for a BBQ on board. I made up a batch of basil-mozzarella-tomato skewers (drizzle a little olive oil–yum!) and a quick batch of lemon cheesecake squares (with blueberries).
Anne, our designated bartender, has procured the necessary ingredients to make our official BVI cocktail, the Painkiller (rum, creme of coconut, and in our version, pineapple-orange-banana juice.) It’s actually quite hot and humid out today, so they’re going to taste great.
