Schoolhouse Beach, Washington Island, WI
I’m back from my long weekend on Washington Island, up off the tip of Wisconsin’s Door County. It was a very relaxing four days; an excellent getaway to peace, quiet, tall trees, water, migrating geese, farmland, fried food, good beer, rain, and a lot of time to read. I’ll fill in details tomorrow, but now I’m going to bed. I got very used to turning in early–it’s amazing how being away from TV and the internet can radically increase one’s hours-per-night of sleep.
