My new lens arrived and I’m really amazed at how small it is. It’s light as a feather compared to the two-pound weight I’ve gotten used to carrying around on the front of my camera and when I pick up the camera now my arms fly up in the air. Okay, I exaggerate, but not much.
I’ve played with it ever so briefly and would have taken it on a first photo walk this afternoon to the lake if it hadn’t been raining with patches of ice everywhere. Walking the path along the lake was quite a challenge. Hopefully over the weekend I’ll have a chance to break it in. Heck, it’s small enough I might even pop it in my bag and take it to the opera Saturday night.
It’s a sweet little lens.
