As many times as I’ve visited Kentucky, I must have driven past this place 30 times, and each time at least one person would comment that we should really go there. That time had finally come yesterday.
We arrived just in time for the last tour of the day. Very interesting; reminded me quite a bit of the tours I used to give of the Clark House in Chicago. The highlight of this tour had to be touching a piece of history, using the original banister up the staircase that Lincoln would have used when he stayed in the house.
WOW! How totally cool is that! My son’s birthday is February 12. He loves Lincoln. =)
