ArchitectureChicagoPlus reports that the Blommer Chocolate Factory has been forced to squelch their lovely chocolaty aroma that often pervaded downtown, especially on a breezy day.
Yet another instance where I can sound like an old timer when I say, “I remember when Chicago smelled like fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.”
Many, many fond memories of walking to band rehearsal in the 80’s smelling the beautiful aroma of chocolate. Our drummer’s loft space was on Fulton Street by the river before they kicked out the artists and put condos and the China Club there.
